Meet Banksy Roo & the rest of the zoo.
because they bring me happy in the midst of sadness ...
meet Banksy, my one year old part bobcat kitty. funny story about this cat, when i moved into my apt. i knew i needed to get a cat imminently for fear of losing my sanity in the silence. just so happened that my friends cat had kittens (again) & was more than willing to throw one my way. only a few weeks old at the time, i was told the cat was a girl- so for 3 months this poor cat pranced around in a pink collar with this very masulan sounding meow and was called Lucy Roo, until the day i saw her balls and "the pink thing. "LUCY YOU HAVE BALLS!! and a PENIS!! " oh my word it makes for some good story telling. but all is well that ends well because just so happened i wanted a boy cat named Banksy : it only took 3 months of Lucy to get him :)
what a ham he is.
meet Tate the 2 year old turtle, i found this little guy in October of 2009. i was in a a pretty terrible mood and went for a walk to try and shake it, when low & behold i found Tate only the size of a half dollar. hes been my pick -me-up ever since.
and then there's the newest addition to my zoo Toots the baby turtle. found her out in a pond and decided she'd be much better off coming home with me. i put her in Tate's tank- he didn't take to her so kindly- she swam around for her little life while he chased her & nearly took off her head! poor little TootsieRoll- shes now safe in her own home until shes big enough to not get eaten by her new family members.
even though hes not home right now, you should meet Striker the ball python. trust me he's the most chill snake your ever going to meet. i just love him.
and i cant forget about the cat who started it all, my Bianca. i had to leave her with my mom when i moved out, only because it would have got really ugly if we had to fight for her.. she is nearly 10 now, i drop by for visits, she gets so happy- i love how she remembers me. i love my Bianca Pretty Kitty to pieces.

This post is so sweet! I love, love, love animals and it's great to see someone else who shares a love for reptiles too!
What a coincidence, our cat's names rhyme. I have a Manx cat that I call Manksie. He showed up one day and never left.
